SVG to PNG Converter
Drop an SVG, choose a scale or a width, and download a PNG.
The PNG is rendered in your browser, with a transparent background unless you pick a color. Batch conversion is free. There is no file-count limit and no paid tier.
An SVG with no width or height is drawn at 1024 px on the long side. The long side is capped at 4096 px, or lower if this browser cannot draw a canvas that large.
Why size matters
An SVG is made of shapes, so it has no single pixel size. A PNG is pixels, so you pick the size once: 2× or 3× for sharp results on high-density screens, or an exact width for an icon, a slide, or a profile image. For a favicon, continue to PNG to ICO.
How to convert SVG to PNG
- Drop one or more .svg files into the zone.
- Set a width, a height, or a scale of 1×, 2×, or 3×. The other side follows the SVG’s proportions.
- Keep the background transparent, or pick a color.
- Download the PNG, or one ZIP for several files.
What renders and what does not
The browser draws the SVG as an image, so most icons, logos, and illustrations match what that browser would paint. A few things differ:
- Fonts linked from outside the file do not load. Text falls back to another font. Convert text to outlines for an exact match.
- Images linked to another file or URL do not appear. Images embedded in the SVG do.
- Scripts do not run, and animation does not play. You get a still image.
Why nothing is uploaded
The SVG is rendered on this device. After the page has loaded, it works offline.
FAQ
How do I convert SVG to PNG with a transparent background?
Leave the background set to transparent. Areas the SVG does not paint stay transparent in the PNG.
What size should I export?
Use the size where the image will be shown. 2× or 3× is the usual choice for high-density screens. You can also type a width or a height. The other side follows the SVG’s proportions.
Why does my text look different?
The SVG is drawn as an image, so a font that is not inside the file will not load. Text then uses a fallback font. Convert the text to outlines, or embed the font, and convert again.
Can I convert SVG to PNG on Mac or iPhone?
Yes, in Safari on this page. A screenshot of the SVG only matches the screen size. Here you choose the pixel size.
Is there a maximum size?
Yes. The long side is capped at 4096 px. If this browser cannot draw a canvas that large, the cap drops (3072, then 2048, then lower) and the file row shows the size you got.
What if my SVG has no size?
It is rendered at 1024 px on the longest side. A viewBox still sets the shape. A file with no viewBox and no width or height becomes 1024×1024. Change the width or the scale before you download.
