How to convert HEIC to PNG

  1. Drop one or more HEIC or HEIF files into the zone, or click to choose them.
  2. PNG is selected for you. Switch to JPG any time if you want smaller files.
  3. Download each PNG, or save the whole batch as one ZIP.

Why PNG

PNG is a lossless format. Your HEIC photo is decoded once and saved as PNG without any extra compression, so nothing more is lost on the way — unlike JPG, which compresses again.

PNG can't add back detail the original HEIC never had. It keeps exactly what was decoded. PNG files are also much larger than HEIC or JPG. If you just need a photo that opens everywhere and stays small, choose JPG here or use HEIC to JPG.

iPhone camera photos have no transparency. If a HEIC file from another source has a transparent area, the PNG keeps it.

Why nothing is uploaded

Most online converters send your photo to their server, convert it there, and send it back. PixQuiet doesn't. The page loads a HEIC decoder into your browser, and the work happens in a background Web Worker on your device.

  • Your photos are never sent to a server.
  • No account, no sign-up.
  • Once the page has loaded, it keeps working offline. Try it: load the page, turn off Wi‑Fi, and convert.

FAQ

How do I convert HEIC to PNG?

Open this page, drop your HEIC or HEIF files in, and download the PNG files one by one or as a ZIP. It works in Safari, Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.

Is HEIC to PNG conversion lossless?

Yes, in the sense that matters: the photo is decoded once and saved as PNG with no extra compression. PNG doesn't restore anything the HEIC file had already compressed away; it just doesn't lose more.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Decoding and PNG encoding run in your browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.

Can I convert many photos at once?

Yes. Drop several files at once, then download each PNG or all of them in one ZIP.

Does it keep transparency?

If the file has it, yes. Photos from the iPhone camera have none, so the PNG is opaque, just like the original.

Can I convert HEIC to PNG on iPhone, Mac, or Windows?

Yes. It runs in the browser, so there's nothing to install: Safari on iPhone and Mac, or Chrome, Edge, and Firefox on Windows.

Why is my PNG so much bigger than the HEIC?

HEIC uses strong compression; PNG is lossless and keeps every pixel as decoded. Larger files are the cost of no extra loss. For smaller files, switch to JPG.
